The blank page no longer scares

Writers block, the fear of the first line, "what if it is cliche" — familiar to anyone who writes. AI removes this barrier: it is always ready to offer options, continue a thought, toss in a twist. But it is important from the start to understand the roles: you are the author, AI is a helper co-author.

What AI gives a writer

  • Beating the stall: ten opening options when it will not flow.
  • Brainstorming: plot, character, twist ideas.
  • Acceleration: a scene draft you rewrite your own way.
  • An outside view: "what is weak here?", "what is missing?".

What it looks like

I do not know how to start a story about an old man and the sea. Give 3 first-line options of different moods
1) (calm) "The sea that morning was smooth as glass, and the old man knew it was a deceptive quiet". 2) (anxious) "He had not gone to sea for forty days, and the town had already buried him as a fisherman". 3) (lyrical) "The old man loved the sea the way you love the one who will one day kill you". Which mood is closer? I will develop it that way.

Why you should not hand it all to AI

A text written entirely by AI is recognizably "smooth and bland": without your experience, voice, pain and joy. Literature hooks with the living, personal, uneven. AI is a great material generator, but you bring the soul and the choices. Otherwise it comes out competent but empty.

Course rule: use AI to write more and bolder, but every word in the final passes through your taste and voice.

AI helps you write faster and bolder, but the voice and decisions are yours.
