Speak faster than you type
Voice is handy when your hands are busy or typing is a drag. There are two modes: dictation (your speech becomes the text of a request) and voice conversation (you speak, the assistant answers by voice).
Dictation
- Tap the microphone and dictate your request in plain words.
- Say punctuation if it matters: "period", "new line".
- Check the recognized text before sending — errors happen.
Voice conversation
Great on a walk or while driving (safely, no screen): you ask, listen to the answer, refine. Like a real dialogue, just with an assistant.
(by voice) Suggest a dinner from chicken and rice, keep it short
How about one-pan chicken with rice and veggies? Sear the chicken, add rice and broth, cook 20 minutes. Want it step by step?
When voice is especially handy
- Driving, cooking, walking — hands busy.
- Quickly "talk out" a thought and let AI shape it into text.
- Practicing spoken foreign language.
Exercise
Dictate a draft message by voice, then ask "make it shorter and more polite". Compare how much faster it was than typing.
Voice speeds up input, but recognition is not perfect. Always review the text before sending.
