"I saw it" no longer equals "true"

AI has learned to create convincing text, photos, video and voice. This opened creative possibilities but also a wave of fakes: fake news, fake "event photos", voice calls from "relatives". The ability to verify has become a basic digital-life skill.

What is now easy to fake

  • Text: news, reviews, "expert" posts — smooth and plausible.
  • Photos: people who do not exist, "events", products.
  • Video: deepfakes with the face and voice of real people.
  • Voice: a voice clone from a short recording.

Why it is done

Reasons vary: fraud and extracting money, opinion manipulation, ads, pranks. The goal is almost always to make you believe and act fast, without checking.

The new hygiene rule: not "I believe because I saw", but "I check before I believe and share".
