Not all avatars are the same

There are several types of digital presenters, and different ones fit different tasks. Let us cover what exists and when to use what.

Stock ready presenters from a library Your clone an avatar from your video Stylized cartoon/brand character Voice only a narrator with no face
Avatar choice depends on the task: speed, brand personality or scale.

Main types

  • Stock (ready): a library of neutral presenters. Fast, cheap, but the face is not yours and may appear for others too.
  • Personal clone: an avatar trained on your video — looks like you. Good for a personal brand at scale, but needs consent and caution.
  • Stylized: a cartoon or brand character. Fit when realism is not needed but individuality is.
  • Voice only: a narrator with no face — essentially a voiceover. Simpler and often enough.
I need many similar training clips for a website. Which avatar to choose?
For standard training a ready stock presenter fits — fast and no rights hassles. If it matters that it is "you" as the brand expert, a personal clone, but then your consent and control over what it says are a must. For simple instructions a faceless voiceover is sometimes enough.

How to choose

  • Need speed and neutrality to a ready presenter.
  • Need brand personality at scale to your clone (with consent).
  • Need originality to a stylized character.
  • Just need to explain to a voiceover.
Start simple: often a voiceover or a ready presenter solves the task without the complications of face cloning.
