About this course

This course is about working faster and more confidently in Excel and Google Sheets, with AI as a second pair of hands on formulas, error-hunting, and routine data wrangling while you frame the question and check the result. It's for anyone who keeps hitting a wall with tangled formulas, mismatched data sources, and reports that have to be rebuilt by hand every month.

The course is built around real spreadsheet work: from splitting tasks between you and AI and three ways to bring AI into a spreadsheet, to diagnosing messy data, merging several sources, writing formulas in plain language, VLOOKUP and conditional sums, pivot tables and cohorts. Separate lessons cover honest charts, three mandatory sanity checks, and building a report you can repeat.

It's for people who already write basic formulas in Excel or Google Sheets and want to spend less time on repetitive work, not learn programming from scratch. You'll need your own working spreadsheet with real data — the whole course runs on it instead of toy examples.

What you'll learn

• Frame a task for AI so it returns a working formula on the first try
• Diagnose a spreadsheet and spot typical data mess in five minutes
• Merge several data sources into one clean working sheet
• Build conditional sums, lookups, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP with AI's help
• Build pivot tables and segment data for comparison
• Spot outliers and anomalies and read cohort trends over time
• Choose an honest chart type and avoid distorted axes
• Assemble a report with three mandatory checks that you can repeat next month

What you'll end up with

• A clean working dataset built from your own data across at least two sources
• A calculation sheet that answers a real work question (e.g. revenue by channel per quarter)
• A finished write-up of one real analytical question, with hypothesis and conclusions
• A repeatable report with data–cleaning–calculation layers, plus a certificate on paid plans

Not for people who need macros, VBA, or Python — this course works through formulas and AI prompts, not code.
