What this is
Skilvy is a library of AI courses in Russian and English: 56 courses and 1178 lessons, from fundamentals and prompting to building on LLMs and adopting AI in a business.
The learning is text-based. No video: a lesson takes 5-10 minutes to read and comes with worked examples, comprehension questions and a practical task that is graded by AI with written feedback.
Why text instead of video
Text reads three to four times faster than the same material is spoken, you can jump back a paragraph, copy an example and search it. For a subject that changes every month there is a second advantage: text can be corrected in minutes instead of re-recorded.
So the material is updated as the tools change, not once a year.
How the courses are made
The courses are written with AI assistance and then edited: structure, facts, examples and tasks are reviewed by a human before publishing. We say so plainly, because that is more honest than pretending every paragraph was typed by hand.
Tasks are graded by a model against the course rubric: you get a verdict and an explanation of what to improve. The next block unlocks when the previous one is passed — the only reliable way to make a course something you finish rather than skim.
Who is behind it
My name is Eldar Khassanov. I am a senior UI/UX designer and I build Skilvy on my own. I have worked with large international companies in the US and Europe — on products where every extra step in an interface costs a measurable number of people.
That work left me with a habit that decided the format here. When someone does not finish, “they lacked motivation” is not an explanation, it is a way of blaming the user. People abandon video courses not out of laziness: video imposes its own pace. You cannot skim what you already know, cannot go back a paragraph, cannot open a lesson for ten minutes on the train. Text lets you do all three — so this is text. And a task after every lesson keeps you from scrolling through a course without once doing anything with your hands.
About AI I am direct on this very page, because selling courses about AI while being coy about using AI is an odd position to hold. What I take responsibility for is the frame: one standard for every course, a task and a check in every lesson, and separate rules for law, finance and medicine, where invented regulations, figures and dates are not allowed.
