About this course

A course for managers, generalist lawyers, and product owners who need to navigate AI regulation confidently without becoming an AI-law specialist. It covers the general logic — risk-based approaches, participant roles, rights to data and to output — deliberately without citing specific articles, rules, or jurisdictions, which go out of date fast and vary from country to country.

Lessons move from how to read regulation in general, through personal data as the basis for most requirements — 'Legal grounds for processing and minimization,' 'Cross-border transfer and localization' — to rights over generated content, a registry of AI systems classified by risk, and vendor contracts. Projects include a data passport, a rights and privacy policy, and a compliance program, all built on your own real AI use case.

The course suits people who make or prepare decisions about using AI in an organization but aren't a practicing AI-law specialist. No special knowledge is required, but the course doesn't replace advice from a lawyer in your jurisdiction — AI regulation varies widely by country and changes fast, so this gives you a framework for orientation, not ready-made legal answers.
